Routine blood tests mainly include three aspects of red blood cell system, white blood cell system and platelet system. Any abnormal data in the tests may indicate the presence of corresponding diseases, which need to be alerted.
1. Red blood cell system: for example, reticulocytopenia reflects the reduced hematopoietic function of bone marrow, which can be seen in aplastic anemia, acute leukemia and other diseases. An increase in reticulocytes reflects a strong hematopoietic function of the bone marrow, which can be seen in megaloblastic anemia, acute blood loss and other abnormal conditions.
2. Leukocyte system: For example, neutropenia can be seen in severe infections, which can lead to excessive depletion of leukocytes and thus neutropenia. Neutrophilia may indicate the presence of a mild infection, but a high percentage may also indicate a serious disease such as chronic granulocytic leukemia.
3. Platelet system: for example, thrombocytopenia can indicate acute leukemia, aplastic anemia and other diseases; thrombocytosis can indicate primary thrombocythemia, primary myelofibrosis and other diseases.
Regardless of which item is high in the routine blood test, the next step should be done under the guidance of the doctor, and the corresponding treatment should be carried out actively after the cause of the disease is clarified.
