In Chinese medicine, night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping sweating after waking up) is mostly caused by yin deficiency, which is generally related to many factors such as prolonged illness and over-anxiousness, and can be treated with medicines such as Angelica Six Horns Soup and Gui Spleen Soup. Night sweating is mainly characterized by sweating in sleep and stopping when waking up; when the patient is physically weak or has been ill for a long time, it can lead to deficiency of yin, and yin deficiency generates internal heat, which forces the fluid to leak out, manifesting as night sweating. If the patient is over-anxious, it will deplete the heart and blood, and if the yin and blood are insufficient, the fire will be generated internally, forcing the fluid to leak out, resulting in sweating, which is also characterized as night sweating. Treatment should nourish yin and fire, nourish the heart and blood. You can choose Angelica Six Horns Soup, Gui Spleen Soup and other medicines to treat the symptoms. The adverse reactions and contraindications of these two drugs are not clear. Note that Angelica 6-Huang Tang should not be used if the spleen and stomach are weak, or if there is a decrease in appetite (no appetite, less food), or if there are loose stools (thin, unformed feces). The above drugs are recommended to be used under medical supervision. If the patient finds himself/herself suffering from abnormal night sweating or other uncomfortable symptoms, he/she should go to a regular hospital in time to avoid delaying or aggravating his/her condition.
