A positive hepatitis B item 2 and item 5 indicates that the body is currently immune to hepatitis B and can protect the body from the hepatitis B virus. It is possible that the antibodies were produced after a previous hepatitis B vaccination, or that the body’s immune system cleared the virus and produced immunity after an acute insidious hepatitis B infection. However, there are still rare cases where the hepatitis B virus has mutated in the pre-S region and is unable to synthesize hepatitis B surface antigen, or where there is a combination of another quasi-infection, as evidenced by positive hepatitis 2 and 5, and positive hepatitis B DNA, suggesting that there is still a current hepatitis B infection.
