Dietary contraindications for slippery veins

The slippery pulse is one of the pulse signs in Chinese medicine. It means that the person taking the pulse feels that the pulse is fluent and smooth, like a pearl rolling on a jade plate. The slippery pulse is the main evidence of phlegm, food stagnation, real heat, etc. It is also the main evidence of pregnancy. If a woman has no disease but sees a slippery pulse, she can be judged to be pregnant (2nd to 9th month of pregnancy). In normal people, the slippery pulse is smooth and gentle (slightly slippery), which is a sign of the harmonization of Ying and Wei and the filling of Qi and Blood. In pathological conditions, slippery pulse can be seen in anemia, rheumatism, late stage of acute infection and fever, acute and chronic gastroenteritis, and cirrhosis of the liver with ascites (chordal slippery pulse). Western medicine treats for the cause, while Chinese medicine treats for the evidence. Slippery vein can be seen in the following Chinese medical evidence: 1, phlegm headache Slippery vein, early morning or morning headache, dizziness, chest tightness, etc. 2, white film invasion of the eyes Slippery pulse, dry mouth, dry eyes, pulse count, photophobia and lacrimation, etc. 3.Phlegm vertigo nausea, slippery pulse, fatigue, moist pulse, loss of appetite, distortion of vision, etc. 4.Pediatric salivation constipation, weakness, slippery pulse, pale and tasteless mouth, salivation, red urine, damp heat of the spleen and stomach, etc. 5.Fetal fever Flushing and hot flashes, irritability, slippery pulse, yellow tongue coating, lower abdominal cramps, irregular vaginal bleeding, etc. 6.Subsuspension irritability, abdominal fullness, slippery pulse, yellow tongue coating, string pulse, distension or pain in the chest and abdomen of the pregnant woman, etc. Examination The physician takes the pulse with the index finger, middle finger and ring finger, resting on the patient’s inch-guan-rule area. It feels like a row of bubbles swimming through the patient’s blood vessels, or like a small iron ball rolling through the physician’s fingers in turn. Differential diagnosis The slippery pulse needs to be distinguished from similar pulses such as the counting pulse and arteries: 1. The counting pulse is characterized by a pulse rate of 100 times per minute or more, while the slippery pulse is characterized by a fluent and smooth pulse shape. If the pulse rate is fast when first determined to be the number pulse, if at the same time there is an obvious slippery image, then it is a slippery number pulse. 2, the artery is characterized by a fluent, frequent, short and strong pulse, which is actually a composite pulse of the slippery pulse and the number of pulses. 3, the slippery pulse and the astringent pulse pulse shape, the pulse potential changes exactly opposite, easy to identify. Principles of treatment Chinese medicine uses evidence-based treatment. If it is caused by phlegm, the treatment is to strengthen the spleen and expel phlegm and dissolve the drinks; if it is caused by food stagnation, the treatment is to eliminate food stagnation, strengthen the spleen and stomach; if it is caused by actual heat, the treatment is to clear heat and detoxify. In terms of diet, slippery veins can eat more high-protein foods for dietary supplements, avoid eating spicy, fried things, cream and other undesirable foods, while paying attention to the combination of diet and sleep, do not stay up late, the best lunch break for an hour at noon.
