Current epidemiological findings show that the incubation period of novel coronavirus infection is generally 3-7 days, with a maximum of 14 days. Patients have fever, malaise, and dry cough as the main clinical manifestations, and a few patients may develop nasal congestion, runny nose, and diarrhea. Severe cases may develop respiratory distress after 1 week, and severe cases may rapidly progress to acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock, uncorrectable metabolic acidosis, and bleeding and coagulation dysfunction. In contrast, some patients only present with low-grade fever and mild malaise, and do not show pneumonia.
