What causes anemia?

There are many causes of anemia, and common causes include insufficient red blood cell production, excessive red blood cell destruction, and blood loss.
Anemia is a decrease in the amount of hemoglobin, red blood cell count and red blood cell volume per unit volume of blood in the peripheral blood of the human body caused by various reasons.
1. Insufficient erythropoiesis: Iron, folic acid and vitamin B12, are the main raw materials for hematopoiesis, and the lack of any of them may cause insufficient erythropoiesis, which leads to anemia.
A variety of internal and external factors lead to hematopoietic stem cells can not normally produce red blood cells, also cause anemia. It can be seen in iron deficiency anemia, megaloblastic anemia, aplastic anemia, acute leukemia and so on.
2. Excessive destruction of red blood cells: red blood cells are destroyed in large quantities in the blood circulation, or are phagocytosed and digested by monocyte-macrophage system, which can cause anemia. It can be seen in systemic lupus erythematosus, hemolytic anemia and so on.
3. Blood loss: women lose menstruation or trauma, hemorrhoids, gastrointestinal tract tumors and other causes of insidious bleeding, which can cause anemia.
If anemia is diagnosed, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time and under the guidance of the doctor for standardized treatment.
