What to do if your foreskin is bleeding

Bleeding from the foreskin tether area is often caused by too intense sexual intercourse or masturbation, combined with a short foreskin tether that causes the tether to tear. This manifests as localized pain with bleeding. Treatment is tailored to the extent of the tear and the degree of bleeding. If the tear is mild, small and bleeding is small, it can be disinfected with iodophor and allowed to heal on its own. For larger tears with more bleeding, debridement and suturing are required and ligamentoplasty is performed. It is important to emphasize that for those who have had tears of the foreskin, sexual intercourse should be prohibited for 2 months.
