Common types of vaginitis

  1. Bacterial vaginitis: also known as non-specific vaginitis. The vulva and vagina are characterized by a sensation of falling and burning, a large amount of vaginal epithelium is shed, the vaginal mucosa is congested, and tenderness is obvious. In severe cases, there is general weakness, abdominal discomfort, leucorrhea in large amount, purulent or plasma, leucorrhea outflow stimulates the urethral orifice, frequent and painful urination may occur.  2, fungal vaginitis: also called vaginal Candida (Pseudomycetes) infection. The prominent symptoms are increased leucorrhea and strange itching of vulva and vagina. In severe cases, it is uncomfortable and painful, and there may be frequent urination, painful urination and painful intercourse.  3, trichomonas vaginitis: leucorrhoea is increased and yellowish white, occasionally yellowish green purulent, often with foam, fishy odor, when the lesion is serious, mixed with blood; accompanied by lumbar acidity, frequent urination, painful urination, vulvar itching, lower abdomen vague pain. The vaginal mucosa is red and swollen, with scattered bleeding spots or strawberry-like protrusions, occasionally causing painful intercourse.  4. Aging vaginitis: also known as atrophic vaginitis. It is characterized by increased leucorrhea and yellowish watery appearance. When the infection is severe, the discharge may turn into purulent and smelly. There is a burning sensation of vaginal cramps, abdominal discomfort and frequent and painful urination. The vaginal mucosa is red, mildly edematous, and painful to touch, with scattered spots or patches of bleeding of various sizes, sometimes accompanied by superficial ulcers.
