What kind of cervical polyps are serious

Cervical polyps are more serious when combined with pathogenic infections, especially HPV infection, or other bacterial infections.

For common fungal infections, bacterial infections can cause acute and chronic inflammation of the cervix, which can lead to localized necrosis in severe cases, thus causing contact bleeding, increased secretions, vulvar itching and odor, etc. Severe infections can induce inflammation in the pelvic cavity, leading to adnexitis, vaginitis, endometritis and so on. If it is a larger polyp will block the cervical opening, which will affect sexual life and conception.

If the cervical area is infected with HPV, such as HPV16, HPV18, acute and chronic inflammation will affect the normal function of the body’s immune system, low resistance, unable to clear HPV, resulting in high-level lesions in the cervical area, which can lead to cervical cancer without timely intervention.

If you have cervical polyps, you should communicate with your doctor in time, do further examination, identify the cause and then standardize the treatment.
