Gallbladder polyp is a less standard ultrasound diagnosis, strictly speaking it should be diagnosed as “gallbladder polyp-like lesion”. 90% of them are pseudo-polyps formed by cholesterol crystals deposition, clinically most of the patients are asymptomatic, only occasionally found by ultrasound during physical examination. Ursodeoxycholic acid capsules (Eusebio) can be taken orally without treatment. However, the drug needs to be eaten for a long time, more expensive, only some people effective, easy to recur after stopping the drug, so I do not advocate drug treatment. Other drugs are basically ineffective, it is better to eat big meat (the best food bile therapy), it may be possible to be expelled. However, the ultrasound should be reviewed regularly (ranging from 3-12 months, with shorter intervals at the beginning, and after a year, the ultrasound can be checked once a year.) If gallstones are found to have formed and there are symptoms of (right) upper abdominal pain after eating fatty foods or sleeping flat on your back, you should consider surgery. The hospitalization time can be as short as 1-3 days. We also perform single-port laparoscopic surgery, which is not only less painful, but the surgical scars are also relatively hidden. The disease can be reviewed for several years without major changes. If polyps are found to be increasing faster or larger than 1 cm and still not free in the gallbladder cavity, other possibilities should be considered, the most common being adenomyosis (benign hyperplasia) and benign adenoma of the gallbladder, with gallbladder cancer being less common. Since only pathological diagnosis is the most reliable, it is best to surgically remove the gallbladder at this point. If the gall bladder is large, bet it is benign, it should also be reviewed more frequently, once in 1-2 months, and if it is found to increase rapidly, it should be operated immediately.
