How to treat and correct astigmatism

Astigmatism can be corrected by wearing frames, using rigid corneal contact lenses, and having laser surgery.
Astigmatism is a common type of refractive error that affects the patient’s naked eye vision and should be corrected.
Wearing frames is the most common way to correct astigmatism, and is usually more effective for low to moderate astigmatism, i.e., less than 300 diopters.
The use of rigid corneal contact lenses is suitable for the correction of high astigmatism, e.g. above 300 degrees, and the image quality is better than that of frames.
Patients with astigmatism who are adults can also consider laser surgery for correction, such as excimer laser surgery and hemi-femtosecond laser surgery.
Patients with astigmatism should go to the ophthalmology department of the hospital in a timely manner, and the doctor will formulate a reasonable treatment plan according to the patient’s eye condition.
