Let’s build five lines of defense against “hives” together

Urticaria, commonly known as “ghost bumps,” is a common dermatologic condition, but can be tricky to treat, especially in chronic urticaria. As a dermatologist, I prescribe hives to patients and help them build five lines of defense against hives to further improve the treatment, enhance its effectiveness and avoid recurrence. 1. Pay attention to diet and avoid triggers. The onset of urticaria has a certain relationship with diet, and certain foods may be triggers. For example, fish and shrimp seafood, containing artificial coloring, preservatives, yeast and other artificial additives of canned food, preserved foods, beverages, etc. can induce urticaria. In addition. Excessively spicy and acidic food can also reduce the digestive function of the gastrointestinal tract, so that food residues remain in the intestine for too long, thus producing peptones and peptides, increasing the chances of human allergies. 2, pay attention to hygiene and avoid bad stimulation. People with a history of urticaria should pay attention to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene indoors and outdoors, and keep fewer pets like cats and dogs at home. Avoid inhaling pollen, dust, etc. Avoid wind, cold, heat, humidity, dryness, fire and insect poisons. Make life rules to adapt to changes in the external environment. Drinking alcohol, heat, emotional stress, and exertion can aggravate skin vasodilation and stimulate or aggravate hives. Rubber gloves, hair dyes, fragranced soaps and detergents, chemical fiber and woolen clothing, etc. can be a bad stimulus for allergic people or urticaria sufferers and should be avoided. People with cold urticaria should not go to seawater baths or take cold baths, and should pay attention to keeping warm. Cholinergic urticaria should keep the body cool and avoid sweating. According to relevant studies, the positive rate of IgE (an immunoglobulin involved in human allergic reactions) and skin tests in the blood of smokers is significantly higher than that of non-smokers, and there is a relative increase in allergies caused by passive smokers such as their children. Therefore, people suffering from urticaria should quit smoking. 3, pay attention to drug factors caused by allergies. In the clinic. Some drugs can cause urticaria. Such as penicillin, tetracycline, chloramphenicol, streptomycin, sulfonamides, polymyxin and other antibiotics, anakin, aspirin and other antipyretic analgesics, etc.. Certain proprietary Chinese medicines such as cold and flu clearing and niuhuang detoxification tablets can also cause allergies that can lead to the development of hives. When you are taking multiple drugs and suspect that hives are caused by one of them, the shortest and most effective way is to stop taking the drug in time (preferably immediately under the guidance of a doctor at a hospital). 4. Actively treat the original disease. Urticaria is either an independent disease or a skin manifestation of some disease. There are many diseases that can cause hives, such as infectious diseases: parasitic infections like intestinal roundworms, pinworms, etc.; bacterial infections like dental caries, alveolar abscess, tonsillitis, otitis media, sinusitis, etc.; viral infections like hepatitis B; fungal infections like ringworm, etc. In addition, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, menstrual disorders, and even potential tumors in the body. All may cause urticaria. Therefore, effective diagnosis and treatment of pre-existing diseases. It helps to eliminate urticaria. 5, maintain a healthy state of mind and improve physical resistance. The onset and aggravation of chronic urticaria is related to a person’s emotional or psychological stress. The reason for this is to keep a clear mind, so that the body’s qi can be harmonized, the blood flowing, the vitality is abundant, and over time the urticaria will naturally disappear in the invisible.
