Is there a problem with the fleshy stuff coming out of your period?

The presence or absence of flesh-like tissue in menstrual flow depends on the patient’s specific situation. If there are no clinical symptoms, but the menstrual flow is accompanied by fleshy tissue, this is usually not a problem. This is because a woman’s menstrual period contains the exfoliated endometrium and blood mixed with endometrium and vaginal mucus, which can become fleshy tissue when it is discharged. If there is occasional discharge of a large amount of fleshy tissue during menstruation with prolonged infertility, there may be abnormalities such as recurrent biochemical pregnancy or polypoid tissue in the endometrium. The differential diagnosis can be made by examining human chorionic gonadotropin or by hysteroscopy. When there is discharge of fleshy tissue during menstruation, along with abnormalities such as foul odor and pain in the abdomen, it should be considered that it may be caused by inflammatory diseases of the pelvis.
