What’s going on with the pinpoint calcifications?

Acicular calcification refers to the presence of acicular calcified foci, which is the main manifestation of imaging diagnosis, and is considered to be related to malignant tumor. Acicular calcification is the main manifestation of breast cancer diagnostic imaging, and is the only imaging sign to confirm the diagnosis of breast cancer. If there are acicular calcification foci in the imaging examination, you should be highly alert to the presence of breast cancer, especially invasive breast cancer. Cysts in the breast have calcifications, which may be benign or malignant, but if they are benign, the calcifications are usually large and mostly striated or crescent-shaped. If the lesion is malignant, it is usually a small calcification, more commonly a punctate calcification or a pinpoint calcification. If you find pinpoint calcifications during breast examination, you should pay attention to them, conduct further examination to clarify the nature of the lesions, and actively treat them to avoid delaying your condition.
