What to do if a centipede bites you

Bitten by centipede can be treated with emergency treatment, medication and first aid treatment according to the condition.
1. Emergency treatment: After being bitten by centipede, you should immediately squeeze the wound from far and near to squeeze out the blood contaminated by venom to avoid it flowing all over the body; then use a lot of flowing water or soapy water to wash the wound repeatedly; 75% alcohol or ammonia can be used to apply. Generally, patients with mild cases only show mild swelling and pain, and after general treatment, they can recover by themselves.
2. Medication: If there are serious symptoms such as redness, swelling, blisters and itching after being bitten by centipede, antihistamines such as loratadine and cetirizine can be taken for anti-allergy treatment.
3. First-aid treatment: After being bitten by centipede, dizziness, vomiting, unconsciousness and other symptoms of poisoning need to be immediately sought for rescue treatment. The patient should pay attention to the wound to be lower than the heart level, avoid movement as much as possible, maintain emotional stability and reduce the spread of venom on the way to the doctor; the doctor will carry out the necessary treatment according to the patient’s condition.
It is recommended to carry out emergency debridement immediately after being bitten by a centipede, seek medical treatment promptly if necessary, standardize the treatment under the guidance of a doctor, and avoid private medication to avoid delaying the condition.
