Does toothpaste work to close the gap?

Toothpaste that closes gaps doesn’t work. Usual ways to close gaps include orthodontics, veneers, and full crown restorations.
1. Orthodontics: For normal, healthy and beautiful teeth, the most ideal way to close the gap is orthodontics, because it does not need to grind the tooth tissue, but through the orthodontic appliance on the teeth to force, so that the teeth move naturally, so as to achieve the effect of closing the gap, for some of the torsion of the teeth, tilted teeth can be aligned orthodontically. The disadvantage is that the orthodontic cycle is longer.
2. Veneers: For the front teeth, if there are still yellowish teeth, fluorosis and other problems, veneers can be used. Veneers can not only improve the gap between the teeth, but also help to restore the aesthetic appearance of the teeth. The disadvantage is that they are not suitable for patients with large gaps caused by twisting and excessive tilting to the lip side, and they cannot withstand the biting force, so they can only be used on the front teeth.
3. Full Crown Restoration: For patients with large gaps due to decay, full crowns can be used. Full crown restoration can be used for front teeth and back teeth, and can be good to restore the form and function of the teeth, but the shortcomings is that the abraded tooth body is more, there may be tooth sensitivity or even painful symptoms.
Tip: If you have a large gap between your teeth, you need to visit your doctor for an evaluation of treatment.
