Differential diagnosis of painless breast lumps in elderly men

The presence of painless lumps in the breast of elderly men is one of the clinical diagnoses of male breast cancer. Male breast cancer (malemammarycancer) is a rare malignant tumor, accounting for 0.2% to 1.5% of all cancers in men and about 1% of breast cancer. What are the symptoms that are easily confused with it? 1.Male breast cancer Male breast cancer (malemammarycancer) is a rare malignant tumor, accounting for 0.2% to 1.5% of all cancers in men, and about 1% of breast cancer. 2.Gynecomastia Gynecomastia is a clinical condition caused by abnormal development of male breast tissue and abnormal hyperplasia of breast connective tissue due to imbalance of estrogen to androgen ratio caused by physiological or pathological factors, and is the most common male breast disease, accounting for about 80% to 90% of male breast diseases. Neurofibromas Neurofibromas are also known as neuromas, neuromas, perineural fibromas, perineural fibroblastomas, and perineural fibroblastomas. This disease has a wide variety of names, reflecting different views on its origin, and is summarized in the following categories: Type I: neuromembranoma or Chewang cell tumor; Type II: neurofibroma or perineural fibroblastoma, which is a connective tissue in which the tumor cells are deepened from the neural endoderm. Neurofibromas can originate from peripheral nerves, cranial nerves, and sympathetic nerves. The tumor is often located in the upper eyelid and is soft, with swelling and thickening of the eyelid, hyperpigmentation, ptosis, palpable cords and small nodules, and no pain. It is often associated with glaucoma, iris, ciliary body, and choroidal nerve fibroma. Pulsating ophthalmic prominence or depression may result from the orbital bone defect caused by this disease and is consistent with the radial artery. If the tumor originates within the muscle cone, visual impairment may occur in addition to ocular protrusion.
