What’s wrong with leg pain after varicose vein surgery

Some patients may experience symptoms of leg pain after varicose vein surgery. Varicose vein surgery is a minimally invasive treatment, such as laser minimally invasive, patients may experience pain, numbness and other uncomfortable symptoms along the vascular route after surgery, and most of the patients can recover on their own in about 3 months. For patients with open surgery, if there is subcutaneous bruising and scarring, it can be gradually absorbed and softened with time, thus recovering on its own. In addition, it is necessary to exclude arteriosclerosis and occlusion in the elderly, i.e., varicose veins accompanied by arteriosclerosis. Since the use of compression stockings and bandages after varicose vein surgery can cause arterial ischemia, this can be determined by touching the foot to see if there is a dorsalis pedis arterial pulsation. If there is no such condition, the patient should go to the hospital vascular surgery department for diagnosis and treatment. The presence or absence of arterial ischemia can be clearly understood by ultrasound or even by imaging of the finer lower limb vessels.
