What does it mean when there is no significant enhancement of a lung nodule

Lung nodules without significant enhancement generally means that the nodule enhancement is not obvious on enhanced CT, suggesting that the nodule has no blood supply or the blood supply is not abundant.
Enhanced CT can show the lesion more clearly by injecting contrast agent, such as iohexol, through a peripheral vein, which increases the density difference between the lesion and normal tissue. At the same time, when the enhancement scan is performed on the lesion, the blood flow relationship between the lesion and its surrounding can be clearly observed, so that the nature of the lesion can be judged.
When the chest enhancement CT suggests that the lung nodule is obviously strengthened, it suggests that there is abundant blood flow in the nodule, which may be a hemangioma or a tumor with a higher degree of malignancy; when the examination suggests that there is no obvious enhancement of the lung nodule, it suggests that there is not abundant blood supply in the nodule, or there is no blood supply, which generally suggests that the possibility of malignancy of the lung nodule is relatively small.
If lung nodules are found, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time, complete the relevant examinations under the doctor’s guidance, make a clear diagnosis, and follow the doctor’s instructions to formulate a reasonable diagnosis and treatment plan.
