Blood creatinine of 1000μmol/L is seriously high, and should be considered to be caused by pathologic factors, such as chronic renal failure or acute kidney injury, at which time renal replacement therapy may be needed, even life-threatening.
1. Chronic renal failure: usually associated with chronic nephritis, diabetes mellitus, hypertension and other diseases. These diseases may lead to decreased glomerular filtration rate and increased blood creatinine. If the disease is not effectively controlled, it may continue to increase and develop into uremia. At this time, generally need to actively give drugs, renal replacement therapy, treatment is not timely, may be life-threatening at any time.
2. Acute kidney injury: If there is previous infection, inflammation, or taking some kind of nephrotoxic drugs or combined with neurogenic bladder, prostate hyperplasia, etc., it will lead to acute elevation of blood creatinine, at this time need to be given to the specific cause of the drugs, relief of obstruction, renal replacement therapy, and so on, and if the disease is not controlled in a timely manner, it may be life-threatening.
High blood creatinine need to be timely regular hospital consultation, follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment.
