Uneven echoes in the abdominal cavity generally indicate abnormal tissue lesions in the abdominal cavity. Uneven echo is the medical term for ultrasound terminology. Uneven echo refers to the unevenness of the echoes found in the area detected during an ultrasound. If the abdominal cavity shows heterogeneous echoes during ultrasound examination, it is considered that there are lesions or abnormalities in the abdominal tissues, such as cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma, hepatic hemangioma, etc. in the liver; cysts, nodules, and space-occupying lesions in the kidneys; splenic hyperplasia and atrophy in the spleen; and abnormally enlarged lymph nodes in the abdominal cavity. Further examination is needed to clarify the diagnosis and treat accordingly. If the examination report shows heterogeneous echoes in the abdominal cavity, it is recommended to communicate with the attending physician in time to improve the examination, understand the cause of the disease, and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
