What does BMP mean?

BMP should be BPM, which is the number of heartbeats per minute. The ideal heart rate for a normal person is 70-80 beats per minute (BPM). Heart rate over 100 beats per minute is tachycardia, which has both physiological and pathological causes. Physiological causes include emotional excitement, alcohol consumption, and smoking, all of which will resolve on their own. Pathological factors are elevated body temperature, which is caused by bacterial infection, and the body kills bacteria by accelerating the heart rate to make more white blood cells per unit time. Anemia, hypoxia or hyperthyroidism can also lead to a faster heart rate. A heart rate of less than 60 beats/min is considered bradycardia, and most bradycardia is pathological, often accompanied by chest tightness, weakness, and dizziness, and can be dangerous if the heart rate is below 50 beats/min, requiring a pacemaker.
