Sudden ear pain may be caused by acute otitis media on the one hand, neuropathic pain on the other hand, and of course, a kind of radiating pain in other neighboring tissues. Acute otitis media will be manifested as tympanic membrane congestion or water in the ear and other symptoms, so there will be pain in the heart of the ear, mainly due to inflammation stimulation.
