The main causes of bunion joint pain include conditions such as hallux valgus, aseptic inflammation and gout.
1. Bunion: A condition in which the first toe is offset to the outside for various reasons is called a bunion. A bunion causes a change in the stress on the bunion joint and produces localized growths and redness, which can lead to pain in the big toe joint.
2. Aseptic Inflammation: Commonly include bunion bursitis, metatarsophalangeal arthritis, etc. Most of the pain of aseptic inflammation is caused by long-term fatigue injury, repeated friction, extrusion, and partly due to degenerative lesions.
3. Gout: a disease caused by elevated blood uric acid in the body. Uric acid in the serum is persistently higher than the saturation state, and urate crystals are deposited in the joints or soft tissue areas, causing the autoimmune system’s resistance to attack, leading to joint or soft tissue damage and painful symptoms.
Patients with severe symptoms of big toe joint pain or persistent symptoms that do not improve should go to the hospital for treatment.
