There are 15 types of high-risk viruses, namely human papillomavirus, and the most common are positive for HPV 16 and HPV 18. High-risk typing can cause high-grade lesions as well as vulvar squamous intraepithelial neoplasia, or vulvar cancer, in the common type of cervical cancer. Colposcopy is required when screening for HPV as a high-risk typing, especially if positive for HPV16 and HPV18. If there is a problem with colposcopy, a cervical biopsy needs to be sent for pathology at the site of the lesion, and the next treatment plan will be decided based on the specific pathology results.
