How long after cervical mucus will birth

The discharge of cervical mucus is not a definite indication of labor, and labor usually occurs about 1 week after the discharge of cervical mucus. The discharge of cervical mucus in the vagina before labor is due to the dilatation of the lower part of the uterus and the cervix during labor, and the consequent discharge of the attached cervical mucus plug, which is a normal physiological phenomenon. Since the exact time of labor is based on vaginal redness, regular contractions and fetal insertion, the exact time of labor cannot be accurately predicted based on the discharge of cervical mucus plug. If there is blood in the cervical mucus, it is a sign of vaginal redness and labor may be initiated within 1-2 days. It is recommended to keep a calm state of mind to avoid mood swings that can affect the contractions of the uterus, and to observe the changes in the body and to be ready for labor with the right amount of activity.
