What to do if your baby has a fever after vaccination

Infants and children often show signs of fever after vaccination, which is also a common reaction after vaccination. Usually, the body temperature is not very high, around 38℃, and there is no need for oral antipyretic drugs, and the infant’s mental state will be better, and there is no accompanying poor peripheral circulation, cold hands and feet. This situation can be treated with physical cooling by drinking more water or repeatedly and continuously wiping the limbs, neck, armpits, groin and other parts with warm water. Do not touch the eye of the needle to avoid infection at the vaccination site during physical cooling. If the temperature of individual infants continues to rise and cannot be reduced to normal, medication should not be used at home. To avoid affecting the response to the vaccine, parents should take their infants to the hospital for further detailed consultation under the guidance of a doctor.
