How to take Pientzehuang

Pientzehuang can be taken orally as well as ground and applied externally, and it is recommended that patients follow the doctor’s instruction to standardize the use of medicine. Pientzehuang is composed of cowhuang, musk, panax pseudoginseng and snake gall. It has the efficacy of clearing away heat and detoxification (clearing away heat and toxicity in the body), cooling blood and removing blood stasis, subduing swelling and relieving pain (eliminating swelling and pain). Pientzehuang is used for acute and chronic viral hepatitis caused by heat and toxicity and blood stasis, carbuncle and gangrene (a kind of poisonous sores, acute suppurative disease occurring on the body surface, limbs and internal organs), furuncle (sores occurring on the limbs or face, with small shape and deep root, as hard as nails), anonymous swollenness and poison, bruises and various inflammations. Pregnant women should not take Pientzehuang. Avoid eating spicy and greasy food during taking. If there is no improvement of symptoms after 3 days of taking Pientzehuang, or if accompanied by systemic symptoms such as malignant cold (fear of cold) and fever during the period of taking medicine, patients should go to hospital for consultation. It is suggested that patients should standardize the use of medicine under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners.
