Does the diarrhea stink?

The discharge is usually odorless under normal physiological conditions, but may be foul-smelling if it is associated with an infection. Dew is the tissue containing blood and necrotic membranes that is discharged vaginally and shed with the uterine lining after delivery. The discharge usually lasts for 4-6 weeks and totals about 250-500 ml. Depending on its color, content and time, it is classified as bloody, plasma or white discharge. Under normal physiological conditions, the discharge usually has a bloody odor, but no foul smell. When the mother is infected due to incomplete uterine regeneration, partial retained placenta or fetal membranes in the uterine cavity, then there may be an increase in the amount and prolongation of the duration of bloody discharge, and there may be a foul odor at the same time. Therefore, if the normal puerperal discharge has a foul odor, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital to avoid delaying the condition.
