Foods that supplement lactase

Lactase is an enzyme present in the intestines and is not found in normal foods, so there are no foods that supplement lactase. Lactase, also known as beta-galactosidase, is a digestive enzyme found in the intestines. The main function of lactase is to digest lactose, hydrolyzing it into galactose and glucose that the body can absorb. If there is a deficiency of lactase in the body, lactose intolerance will occur, which is manifested as impaired digestion and absorption of lactose, and such people will experience abdominal pain, flatulence and diarrhea after eating foods containing lactose. Lactase does not exist in food and cannot be supplemented by eating certain foods. If your body lacks the enzyme lactase, you should eat fewer foods containing lactose, commonly animal milk.
