There is no food or medicine that can prevent neonatal jaundice during pregnancy.
Jaundice in newborns is mostly caused by the aggregation of bilirubin in the body, and is generally categorized into physiological jaundice and pathological jaundice.
Physiological jaundice is mostly caused by excessive production of bilirubin in newborns, insufficient ability to transport bilirubin, and imperfect development of liver function.
While pathological jaundice may be related to neonatal hepatitis, neonatal sepsis, neonatal hemolytic disease, biliary atresia and other pathological factors.
Therefore, neonatal jaundice cannot be prevented by food and drugs during pregnancy. During pregnancy, pregnant women also need to pay more attention to the balanced intake of nutrients and do regular checkups. For newborns with jaundice after birth, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time to find out the cause of the jaundice and treat it under the doctor’s guidance.
