Chest pain when eating is considered to be caused by reflux esophagitis. Reflux esophagitis is an inflammatory lesion of the esophageal mucosal tissue due to the reflux of secretions from the stomach and duodenum, and their contents, into the esophagus, causing irritation and damage to the esophageal mucosal tissue, resulting in esophageal erosion and esophageal ulcers. Typical symptoms of reflux esophagitis are heartburn and chest pain. With reflux esophagitis, food can irritate the inflamed part of the esophagus during meals, and chest pain can occur. For reflux esophagitis, the principle of promoting gastric motility, inhibiting gastric acid secretion and mucosal protection is adopted in the treatment. Commonly used drugs include domperidone tablets, ranitidine, metformin, omeprazole, rabeprazole, lansoprazole, etc. In the diet, we should eat less and more meals, do not eat foods that stimulate the stomach and intestines, and do not lie down immediately after meals, which can aggravate the symptoms of reflux.
