What to do about heart and left arm pain

If the patient has pain in the heart as well as the left arm, consider angina radiata triggering pain in the left shoulder, the left forearm, and the left ring finger, which is a typical feature of angina attacks. It usually lasts for about 2-3 minutes, and the symptoms can be relieved more obviously after sublingual nitroglycerin is administered. If the pain is severe and lasts for a long time, acute myocardial infarction is not excluded. Patients should promptly perform cardiac enzymes, electrocardiogram, and coronary angiography if necessary. Patients should improve relevant examinations and can take oral aspirin, isosorbide mononitrate, trimetazidine tablets, metoprolol, etc. to improve symptoms and prevent disease progression.
