Rotator cuff injury cannot be cured by itself, it needs to be cured by general treatment, medication and surgery under doctor’s guidance. 1. General treatment: for example, it is necessary to pay attention to rest and avoid movements that can aggravate the injury; patients with rotator cuff injury need to use abduction brace or plaster external fixation to immobilize the affected shoulder and keep the shoulder joint in an external position. Conservative patients should be immobilized for 4~6 weeks; postoperative patients should be immobilized for 6~8 weeks. 2. Medication: patients with severe rotator cuff injuries can use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen, as prescribed by the doctor to relieve pain. 3. Surgery: patients with severe injuries need surgery, including open surgery, in which the skin of the shoulder joint is cut open to find the damaged area and then suture to repair it; arthroscopic surgery, in which the arthroscope is inserted into the joint and special surgical instruments are used to suture and repair it. It is recommended that patients with rotator cuff injuries should consult a doctor in time to find out the cause and standardize the treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
