Gastric mesenchymal tumors are potentially malignant tumors. Curability varies from person to person depending on the progression of the disease. It can be cured if the symptoms are mild, but not if the symptoms worsen to a certain extent. Gastric mesenchymal tumors are found in the body or bottom of the stomach and progress very slowly, usually taking 3 to 5 years or 10 years to grow in size. The tumor has the possibility of malignancy, so many patients are often hospitalized with symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding or metastasis from some other place as the first symptom. Smaller gastrointestinal mesenchymal tumors are asymptomatic, do not require treatment, and may heal on their own. Gastrointestinal mesenchymal tumors with obvious symptoms should be surgically removed as soon as possible, and can usually be cured. If ignored, it may cause metastasis to other parts of the body, such as liver metastasis and abdominal metastasis, which may worsen and lead to incurable. When gastric mesenchymal tumor is found, you should go to the hospital for diagnosis and further treatment.
