What about muscle weakness in one eye?

Weakness of one eye is commonly caused by congenital ptosis, motor nerve palsy, trauma, myasthenia gravis, etc. In terms of treatment, medication and surgery are usually adopted.
1. Surgery is often needed to treat the weakness of one eye due to congenital ptosis: e.g. levator palpebral muscle shortening, frontalis muscle suspension.
2. Weakness of one eye due to motor nerve palsy requires timely identification of the cause of the disease. For example, if the disease is caused by skull base fracture, the treatment of nutritive drugs such as methylcobalamin tablets and vitamin B1 tablets can be considered; if the disease is caused by intracranial aneurysm, cranial clamping or interventional embolization is needed.
3. Weakness of one eye caused by eye trauma, most of which need to be treated with surgery after stabilization.
4. Weakness in one eye due to myasthenia gravis usually requires medication, and cholinesterase inhibitors such as brompheniramine and neostigmine bromide are commonly used in clinical practice.
It is recommended that the patient should consult a doctor in time for targeted treatment.
