Adults who are more than a month out from strabismus correction surgery usually do not need training. Strabismus corrective surgery is the most commonly used treatment for strabismus and is a more effective method for non-adjustable strabismus, improving the patient’s appearance and eliminating symptoms such as double vision. Childhood strabismus patients are likely to be accompanied by amblyopia, and training is needed to improve the vision of the amblyopic eye after corrective strabismus surgery. Adult strabismus patients, even if they are accompanied by amblyopia, will not be able to improve their vision because they have already missed the opportunity to treat their amblyopia, so there is no need to train after corrective strabismus surgery. Patients need to be careful not to rub their eyes, which may lead to cracking of the surgical incision site, and also pay attention to maintaining eye hygiene to avoid eye infections.
