Mycosis vaginalis is a medical condition called Vulvovaginal Vaginosis (VVC), which is an inflammatory disease of the vulva and vagina caused mainly by Pseudomonas albicans. It is estimated that 75% of women are infected at least once in their lifetime and 45% of women are repeatedly afflicted by the disease. The clinical symptoms are mainly vulvovaginal itching, burning pain, painful intercourse, sometimes painful urination, and in severe cases, abnormal itching with a marked increase in vaginal discharge, which is white and thick, curd or tofu-like. The disease is an opportunistic pathogen, and only when the immunity of the whole body and vagina is reduced, it will multiply and cause the disease. Therefore, common causes include long-term antibiotics, pregnancy, diabetes mellitus, heavy use of immunosuppressants and high estrogen therapy. In addition to the vagina, the bacterium can also be found in the oral cavity and intestinal tract, which can cause infection if conditions are suitable. In addition, it can also be transmitted sexually. Treatment: 1. First, eliminate the causes: stop using antibiotics, estrogen, immunosuppressants and other drugs to improve the immunity of the whole body. If you have diabetes, you need to control blood sugar. Change underwear regularly, used underwear, towels, etc. should be scalded with boiling water. 2, commonly used drugs: mainly for mycobacterium, clotrimazole, miconazole, fluconazole, itraconazole, etc.. Can be used locally, but also systemic drugs. For simple VVC, the above drugs can be effective, but azole drugs are more effective than mycobacterium. In case of RVVC, i.e. 4 or more episodes in a year, drugs need to be selected according to culture and drug sensitivity test, and initial treatment and consolidation therapy are required. 3.Pregnancy combined with VVC is mainly treated locally. 4.Symptomatic sexual partners should be examined and treated to prevent repeated infection in women.
