Patients with cardiac arrest, incomplete resuscitation or delayed resuscitation may also develop this multi-organ dysfunction syndrome; 7. Other diseases such as acute hemorrhagic necrotizing pancreatitis, strangulated intestinal obstruction, massive rapid transfusion of blood and fluids; some patients may have potential predisposing factors such as advanced age, immune deficiency, malnutrition , chronic diseases, all of which can present with multi-organ failure.
