Can malnutrition cause lowered white blood cells

Malnutrition does not usually cause a decrease in white blood cells. Malnutrition is an insufficient or imbalanced intake of nutrients in the body, which can lead to weight loss, emaciation, and decreased fat content. When malnutrition is more severe, there may be a decrease in hemoglobin and a decrease in albumin, but there is usually no decrease in white blood cells. Causes of leukopenia include viral infections, medications, blood disorders, connective tissue disorders, and exposure to radioactive substances. Malnutrition is not usually associated with lowered white blood cells. However, both malnutrition and leukopenia need to be actively treated, but the treatment methods are not the same, and it is recommended that patients go to the hospital in a timely manner, and it is not recommended that patients treat themselves, so as not to avoid improper treatment methods.
