Cerebral palsy in a six-year-old child, if it is mild cerebral palsy, the functional improvement will be more obvious after systematic rehabilitation and treatment; if it is moderate or severe cerebral palsy, the effect will be poorer.
Cerebral palsy occurs in the early postnatal period and is characterized by neurological damage, which may cause limb movement disorders and postural abnormalities, as well as vision, intelligence, hearing abnormalities, and speech disorders. After active rehabilitation and treatment, some children with mild cerebral palsy may have significant improvement in clinical symptoms and functions, but they cannot be cured completely. In the case of moderate or severe cerebral palsy, the results are poorer.
Cerebral palsy is a lifelong disease, no matter what type, it cannot be completely cured, but can only be treated aggressively to try to improve the child’s function, or even reach the level of normal children of the same age.
Therefore, it is recommended that a six year old child with cerebral palsy be seen promptly, treated aggressively, and under the guidance of a physician to promote improved function.
