In the seventh month of pregnancy, a white discharge from the nipple is considered to be nipple discharge if it is not accompanied by other uncomfortable symptoms. After pregnancy, due to the influence of hormones in the body, the ducts and alveoli of the mammary glands develop and prepare for lactation. In late pregnancy there is already a small amount of milk produced and stored in the mammary glands, which may manifest as nipple overflow. This condition is physiological and does not require treatment and can be washed away by the pregnant woman. However, it is not recommended for pregnant women to stimulate their nipples frequently during pregnancy, because frequent stimulation of the nipples will produce endogenous contractions, leading to contractions of the uterus, which may trigger symptoms such as preterm labor, with adverse consequences.
