The sex hormone six tests are performed in clinical practice and include the following six items: 1) follicle stimulating hormone; 2) luteinizing hormone; 3) estradiol; 4) progesterone; 5) prolactin; and 6) androgen. Based on the six sex hormone tests, we can determine whether there is polycystic ovary syndrome, hyperprolactinemia; whether androgens are normal, and we can find out whether the ovaries are functioning normally and whether the secretion of estradiol is normal. In clinical practice, it is important for the diagnosis of certain diseases, for example, if there is a prolonged menstrual cycle and decreased menstrual flow, and if polycystic ovary syndrome is suspected, a sex hormone six test is needed. In addition, if there is a change in menstrual flow, it is necessary to know whether the ovaries are functioning normally, and a sex hormone test is also needed. It is recommended that a blood test be taken on the second or third day of menstruation.
