Common exercises suitable for adult scoliosis patients include cat stretches, kneeling plank supports, hip bridge exercises, dog stretches, and more. Improve the spinal flexion and extension function of the patient, enhance the strength of the lumbar abdomen and low back muscles.
1. Cat Stretch: The patient lies prone on the yoga mat with both hands and knees on the ground. Arch the upper back, lower the head, then lower the chest to the lowest level and tilt the head. Breathe in as you arch your back and inhale as you collapse your back, pausing briefly at each stage of the movement.
2. Kneeling plate support: patients take the prone position, elbows on the ground, bending the knees to lift the legs upward, straight back, do not collapse the waist, tighten the abdomen, adhere to 30s and then gradually increase the amount of time.
3. Hip bridge training: patients take the supine position, bend the knees to keep at a comfortable angle, hands placed on both sides, back flat against the ground, tighten the abdomen to do a good job in a preparatory position, and then lift the hips, the body was a straight line, stay 3-5 breaths back to the lying position.
4. Dog Stretch :The patient takes a kneeling position, supports the body with both hands, raises the right arm, and lifts the left leg backward, the arm is not higher than the shoulder, and the leg is not higher than the hip. The limbs are as parallel to the ground as possible, and the spine cannot be twisted.
