After an interval of 7-10 days between injections of 2,000 units of chorionic villus, blood HCG or urine tests are done to check for pregnancy. Chorionic Villus can be used to assist in ovulation in women who are not ovulating, or to preserve pregnancy in women with low HCG levels. When women who use chorionic villus assist in ovulation have intercourse after ovulation, it takes at least 7-10 days for HCG to rise in the body from the time the egg is fertilized to the time when the fertilized egg is fertilized and develops. When HCG is insufficient in early pregnancy and chorionic villus is used for fertility preservation, it takes at least 7-10 days for the 2000 units of HCG injected to be metabolized. Regardless of the reason for the use of chorionic villus, it is not practical to test for pregnancy too early, at least 7-10 days after the use of the drug, preferably around 14 days.
