What does Ambroterol Oral Solution treat?

Ambroxol Oral Solution is mainly used for the treatment of symptoms such as wheezing and shortness of breath, coughing and coughing up sputum (including thick sputum and difficulty in expectorating sputum) caused by acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and emphysema. This medicine is a combination preparation consisting of Ambroxol hydrochloride and clenbuterol hydrochloride. Ambroxol hydrochloride can increase the secretion of respiratory plasma glands, reduce the secretion of mucus glands, lower the viscosity of sputum, and make sputum easy to cough up; while clenbuterol hydrochloride can relax the bronchial smooth muscle and enhance the movement of cilia, thus promoting the expulsion of sputum. Adverse effects of this drug include headache and dizziness, hand tremor, insomnia and euphoria, tingling of limbs, palpitations (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), cardiac arrhythmia, tachycardia, elevated blood pressure, allergic rashes, hepatic insufficiency, gastrointestinal discomfort, and so on. This drug is contraindicated in people who are allergic to this drug and in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Athletes, hyperthyroidism, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and people with cardiac and renal insufficiency should use this drug with caution.
