How to treat urethritis thoroughly

UTI is a common clinical infection of the genitourinary system. Patients with UTI should be treated with anti-infective drugs that are sensitive to the causative organisms according to the results of urine tests and urine cultures, which can be combined with a variety of anti-infective drugs. The treatment usually lasts about 7-10 days, and must achieve complete symptomatic relief and negative urine cultures before the medication can be discontinued. If there is a relapse after stopping the medication, further urine cultures should be done to re-select the sensitive medication. Patients with urethritis should pay attention to personal hygiene, drink plenty of water, and flush the urethra frequently, so that the bacteria are not easy to attach and grow. If the UTI is caused by sexually transmitted diseases such as gonorrhea, both husband and wife should be treated at the same time. If acute urethritis turns into chronic urethritis, you can also choose some surgical methods of treatment, such as urethral dilatation, intraurethral instillation of drugs and so on.
