Can tiny lung nodules be advanced lung cancer?

Lung micronodules are less likely to be considered as advanced lung cancer, and are usually seen in lung fibroma, pulmonary cryptococcosis, tuberculosis and other diseases. 1. Lung fibroma: Lung fibroma is usually located in deep lung tissues, after X-ray examination, or CT examination, some patients will be manifested as small nodule-like changes in the lungs, but the edge of the shadow is consistent and dense. If the edge of the shadow is more regular and the patient has no other uncomfortable symptoms, and after pathological examination, the lesion site has no ossification and no periphery, it is generally not considered as advanced lung cancer. 2. Pulmonary cryptococcosis: patients with pulmonary cryptococcosis may also have pulmonary micronodules, but these patients mostly have contact history with pigeons. Patients need to undergo serum cryptococcal antigen test, if it is positive, lung cancer can be preliminarily excluded. 3. Tuberculosis: patients with tuberculosis are infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and the lungs of the patients will have cavity-like changes, or nodules or streak shadows, etc. In the above cases, sputum can be further examined. In the above cases, further sputum laboratory tests and pathologic examinations can be conducted, etc., which can basically confirm the diagnosis of tuberculosis rather than advanced lung cancer. There are more causes of lung micronodules, which are generally not considered as advanced lung cancer, but cannot be completely excluded as early lung cancer lesions. It is recommended that these patients should consult doctors for relevant examinations in time, take treatments after clarifying the causes of the disease, and also avoid excessive mental tension.
