Ultrasound of a normal liver usually shows the size of the liver as well as its texture and morphology, whether there is widening of the portal vein, whether there is abnormal blood flow, whether there is any obvious space-occupying lesion inside or outside of the liver, whether there is lipid infiltration and calcification in the liver, and whether there are any stones in the internal or external bile ducts of the liver. If the examination report is a normal liver, it will be described as a liver with normal size, smooth envelope, uniform echogenicity, no abnormal echogenic masses seen, no dilatation of the bile ducts inside, no abnormal echogenicity seen in the bile ducts, no abnormal dilatation of blood vessels, and normal internal diameter. However, it should be noted that the diagnosis of ultrasound does not represent the clinical diagnosis. When the doctor gets the report, he still needs to combine the patient’s symptoms, laboratory tests, and if necessary, pathological examination, to make a comprehensive judgment.
