What to do if your ear is bleeding

If your ear canal bleeds when you pull out your ear, you can observe it for a while if it is clean and not contaminated, and it will usually heal on its own. During this period, it is important to avoid water in the ear canal and avoid factors that can trigger infection such as colds, as long as there is no infection, the skin will heal quickly. If the ear canal is contaminated, it is best to go to the hospital to have the ear canal cleaned and a little antibiotic can be used to prevent infection, such as oral antibiotics, like cephalosporin antibiotics. Once the ear canal is infected, it is best to have the ear canal flushed to remove purulent secretions and then use antibiotic ear drops such as lomefloxacin hydrochloride or levofloxacin hydrochloride ear drops. If there is hearing loss, go to the hospital to check whether there is perforation of the eardrum or damage to the auditory chain, and follow the doctor’s instructions.
